Under the shade of age-old trees you’ll find Exotic animals you can’t see anywhere else like this! Come see, up close Tigers, Lions, Ligers, Mountain Lions, Leopards, Servals, Caracals, Wolves, Bobcats, Coatimundi, Deer, Wart Hogs, a Florida Black Bear and more for a day to remember always. What makes this tour different, is the interaction these animals have with their handlers. Each animal is taken out of his cage (but not while we are there) and are played with daily and the volunteers have no fear of these exotic wild animals and refer to them as their “babies.” The St. Augustine Wild Reserve is a non-profit corporation created as a rescue center for unwanted exotic animals. The Reserve will take in unwanted exotic animals as an alternative to euthanasia. Five Arctic wolves and an African lion were received from Michael Jackson, who no longer wanted them at his ranch near Santa Barbara. Their goal is to educate the public about exotic animal ownership, to prevent future animal abuse. A very unique experience!
