New for this Holiday season, explore a wonderland of larger than life, hand-crafted LED lights from within colorful Chinese Lanterns and inspired by animals and plants at the Central Florida Zoo. These exhibits are vibrantly colorful and some of them even move. Stroll at your pace along sidewalks, take photos and enjoy the color and the beauty of these glorious handmade lanterns, some 100 feet long and 30 feet high! Enjoy music, Asian Gift Shop, snacks for sale and fun for young and the young at heart! Dinner Included at Cooks Buffet Restaurant before event. Zoo animals will be not seen.

This holiday season; explore a wonderland of larger than life, hand-crafted LED light displays inspired by plants and animals at the Central
Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens. The Asian Lantern Festival is designed for everyone to enjoy. Hundreds of authentic handmade, colorful silk lanterns are placed across the Zoo and you stroll at your leisure, taking photos and enjoying the beauty. This festival features more than 30 all-new, large-scaled illuminated displays, like a walk-through 100-foot-long shark tunnel, 30-foot-tall giant panda and an expansive display of Chinese pagodas.
Stemming from the traditional Chinese New Year celebrations, the Lantern Festival, is also known as the Spring Lantern Festival and has become the most popular lantern festival and light event in China. As technology has improved, electricity is now used to illuminate the lanterns while using the same traditional lantern making skills. Besides walking through beautiful lanterns, enjoy authentic food booths, cultural exhibits, folk dances and dazzling acrobatics to sumptuous clothing while providing great Holiday Entertainment with endless fun.
