Enter the lush landscape of tropical trees, hundreds of colorful free flying butterflies amid waterfalls and a walking path at the University of Florida in Gainesville. A skilled interpretive staff member is available to answer questions as you wander through a unique and ever-changing living ecosystem showcasing butterflies, birds, turtles, fish, bromeliads, orchids and hundreds of other vibrant flowering plants. Watch in awe as you witness these delicate butterflies up close as they feed on trays of fresh cut fruit or land on your shoulder! Then walk through the Natural History Museum and see world class exhibits- Florida Fossils; Northwest Florida Waterways & Wildlife; Early South Florida People & Environments; and Our Energy Future.
Includes a Special Exhibit “Survival of the Slowest” get an up-close look at 16 live animals, including a sloth, a hedgehog and more. Lunch Included at a restaurant.
